TERMS
You pay a modest one-time $10 non-refundable setup fee as well as the insured shipping to Stein Collectors. When the stein is sold, Stein Collectors handles the transaction with the buyer, including billing, invoicing and final insured shipping to the buyer. After the sale, you receive payment for the stein minus the consignment fee to Stein Collectors of 20% for steins sold at $250/below or 17% for steins sold at $251/above (US Dollar currency).

HOW TO SELL A STEIN

We suggest stein sellers print this page for their records.

1.Click to purchase the $10 non-refundable setup (Discover, Visa, MC, Amex accepted). Print your order invoice for your records or carefully record your order number.
                                               
2.Ship your stein to the address at left, insured, with a typed* detailed description, condition, history and asking price for your stein packed carefully with the stein. You pay for this shipping, so be sure to factor that into your asking price. Include the order number from your setup purchase (step 1). Stein Collectors will create a professional digital image of your stein to include with your information in the Consignment Corner section of the Stein Collectors online shopping catalog.

Email the detailed description, condition, history and asking price for your stein. Include the order number from your setup purchase (step 1) in the subject line. Attach digital .jpg image of stein (see instructions for images**) with your email information to sell@steincollectors.com. You must ship the stein to Stein Collectors mailing address at left before we can complete the final buyer transaction (Stein Collectors handles final invoices and shipping so we recommend the first option for step 2).
                                               
3.When the stein is sold, Stein Collectors handles the transaction with the buyer, including billing, invoicing and final insured shipping to the buyer. You receive payment for the stein (your asking price minus the consignment fee of 20% for steins sold at $250/below or 15% for steins sold at $251/above — USD).



*TYPING: Descriptions must be typed in 12pt font for OCR scanning. Hand written descriptions will be charged an additonal $20 per hour processing fee, with a minimum charge at .25 hour. Descriptions can be emailed separately (with invoice number in subject line) from mailed steins instead of typing or handwriting to avoid processing charge.

**DIGITAL IMAGES: Prefer using your own photograph? Take desired Photo to Kinkos/other copy center with scanner if you don’t have a scanner. Scan picture at 100 dpi, RGB, no larger than 600 pixels in any direction, and no smaller than 300 pixels in any one direction. Save with .jpg extension with -NO- compression. Attach image file with email to sell@steincollectors.com with your order number in the subject line.
